Our Opportunities

Technologies

The learning of Technologies includes Design and Technologies and Digital Technologies, Design Technologies involves the study of Engineering principles and systems; Food and Fibre production; Food Specialisation; Materials and Technologies specialisations. Students use design thinking and technologies to generate and produce solutions for every day needs. Our Kitchen Garden program provides an authentic experience for students to understand first hand food production techniques.

Digital Technologies involves the study and manipulation of the digital systems that are in our recreation, home and work life. Digital systems support new ways of collaborating and communicating requiring students to develop a problem solving toolset of computational and systems thinking.

The nature of classroom activities ensures students’ study of Technologies integrates with other key curriculum areas and is inclusive of skill development such as developing proficiencies in Microsoft Office applications, Apple apps etc.

At Bambara Primary School, students are provided with learning experiences which require them to provide solutions to problems. In all activities students learn innovative thinking and behaviours, they learn the importance of planning, organisation, practical application and enterprise.
