📚 National Simultaneous Storytime 2026 📚
Today, our whole school came together for National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS), one of Australia’s most beloved annual reading events.
At exactly 10:00am, we joined millions of children, families, libraries, schools and early learning centres across the country to share the same story at the same time.
This year’s featured book was Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake Minton and published by Little Book Press.
It was wonderful to see every classroom engaged and enjoying the story together. Events like NSS are a joyful celebration of reading, literacy, and community, and a great reminder of the important role stories and libraries play in inspiring a love of learning.
A big thank you to Mrs Kervin for organising such a fantastic event for our school. Your efforts helped create a memorable experience for all our students and staff and we’re already looking forward to next year! 📖✨
On Friday 22nd May, students from Room 3, Room 10, and Room 11 enjoyed an exciting excursion to Fremantle Prison – and what a fantastic day it was!
Fremantle Prison, a World Heritage site, provided our students with a unique and engaging insight into Western Australia’s history, particularly its penal past. The students explored the prison grounds and learned about life during the convict era.
Walking through the prison cells, yards, and viewing authentic artefacts helped students better understand important concepts such as colonisation, law and order, and convict life.
A big thank you to our wonderful teachers, education assistants, and parent volunteers who supported the excursion and helped make the day a success. Your time, care, and dedication are truly appreciated!
