Co-Curricular Activities

Bambara Primary School

Each year the senior students have attended camp. This is held at Ern Halliday Camp in Hillarys.

It is always a great event with lots of activities during the day with the fun continuing into the evening. During the day, activities are supervised by fully trained Ern Halliday staff along with our teaching staff and include include Abseiling, Lost Pilot, Big Swing, Caving and Flying Fox. We know from past camps that all of this activity is full of fun and personal challenges.

Bambara Primary School are very proud of their choir and vocal group.

The choir is led by our music teacher, Mrs Donna O’Brien.

Each year they participate in The One Big Voice massed choir at the Arena in Perth.

Sporting Schools Program

DSC_8460aThe Sporting Schools program is provided by the Department of Sport and Recreation and is funded to run before and after school sport programs. The program provides students with the opportunity to learn new skills, socialise with older and younger students and build their self-confidence. Sessions are delivered by trained coaches from the AFL, Surfing and Cricket codes. For many students it provides them with an opportunity to learn about club sports and the benefits that participation would bring.

Surfing lessons are provided through the Sporting Schools program each year for our graduating students.  These lessons take place before school at Trigg Beach run by Surfing WA.

Swimming lessons take place each year for Pre Primary to Year 6 students.  These lessons take place at Craigie Leisure centre during the school day.  The lessons are conducted by fully qualified Education Department personnel. The cost for these lessons includes pool entry, lesson and transport to the swimming pool.
