Welcome to Bambara P & C Committee

At Bambara Primary School we have a very active P&C who organise many fundraisers throughout the year. These events not only raise vital funds for our school but also create a welcoming school community for all our students, parents and care givers to enjoy. Your involvement in the P&C is one of the best ways of being aware of school activities and what is planned to improve the Learning Environment for your child. There are many ways of supporting the P&C however, personal involvement is one of the most appreciated. Meetings

Everyone’s contribution is valuable to the P&C and all parents and caregivers are welcome to come along to the meetings. If you have an idea for raising funds please put it on the meeting agenda for discussion and as a team we will work together to bring it to life. Meetings are normally held on Wednesday at 7pm in the staff room, dates are published in the School Newsletter and on the Term Planner.  Everyone is welcome!

Executive Committee

At the P&C AGM, held in February each year, the members of the Executive Committee are elected for a term of one year. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the many events, if you have any free time please get involved. Fundraising

Last year the P&C raised over $8,000 which enabled us to present the school with 2 HD Multitouch screens, the first in WA! Other donations included –

  •  $5,300 Computers
  • $1,000 Reading books
  • $750 Reward stickers for each classroom
  • $550 2 gazebos for sports day
  • $500 Technology and Enterprise Supplies
  • $250 Towards year 6/7 leavers’ shirts

School Lunches

We have a canteen service available each Friday. These lunch orders come from Duncraig Senior High School canteen. Orders can only be placed online by going to – Flexischools We ask that any parent who uses this facility take a turn of handing out the lunches to the students once per term. School Banking

Banking will be held every Wednesday in ECE3, our science room, from 8 am .

The School Banking Program is run through Commonwealth Bank. Students are able to make deposits into their Youthsaver Account at school and receive a token each time they make a deposit.

Once they reach 10 tokens they are able to redeem them for a prize. It’s a great way to teach children about savings and on top of this the P&C receives a commission based on the number of deposits that are made. If you would like your child to participate in the program all they need is a Youthsaver Account which can be opened online here; commbank.com.au/schoolbanking or you can open an account at any Commonwealth Bank.

School Kitchen Garden

 

 

Kitchen Garden Club Wednesday mornings from 8am. Come on over to the kitchen garden and engage all your senses; planting, maintaining gardens, harvesting, preparing and sharing food. Please bring gardening gloves if you have them, as the school supplies may be limited. No gardening experience required - everyone is welcome.
